Where do I change the sound for the notification on my Tytn II.
When I go to 'sounds & notifications' on my PPC and select 'emoze: new item arrived' no matter what sound I chose in there, I always hear the same bleep and NOT the sound I selected !!?? |

Hi all,
Within emoze, you can go to the advanced settings, and select to change the sounds there. _________________ Dave,

That doesn't work.
It takes me to the sounds & settings in my phone and no matter which sound I select I still get the little ding sound and a short vibrate. |

I have an HTC 8525 and a Treo 750 and they both do the same thing.
I have learned to live with it, It is a good product. |

Hi everybody. I've been silently watching this topic, and finally my account has been activated, so i can post.
I have had the same problem for a long time too. I have HTC Wizard. This issue happened with WM5 and now with WM6.1.
Basically, the sound works, the vibration works, alert popup works. IF, however, i change the emoze notification sound, it plays 2 sounds at the same time. My theory is that the notification popup has a windows sound associated with it (that can't be turned off). If we change the emoze sound to another one, then it plays both at the same time: popup notification sound + new emoze sound.
Often, the notification sound is predominant over the other one making it seem like the option does not work.
I would really love to figure out how to fix this.
Thanks,

|

I have the same problem with a TyTn II windows mobile 6. Open the emoze program on the phone and go to "Settings" then "Advanced" then "Alert sound settings" and there is a whole list of sounds. One is called "emoze: new item arrived" and another is called "Messaging: new email message" but changing the sounds associated with these does not change the notification alert sound when a push email is received.
Judging by listening, the notification alert sound is "Alarm2" but changing all occurences of Alarm 2 in the list of sounds for another sound still does not change the notification alert sound which remains as Alarm2. So where is the emoze program getting the Alarm2 sound from? It's a mystery to me. With a similar push email service from emansio.com it is possible to change the notification sound so this problem must be due to the emoze program.
For me it is a make or break point because I use the push email service as a burglar alarm alert triggered by a motion detect camera which sends out emails. The Alarm2 notification alert sound is short and low volume, entirely unsuitable for burglar alerts, and needs to be loud and persistent.
This topic is quite old yet the emoze staff have not replied properly about it. When is somebody official going to do something or at least post something more to this thread? _________________ Programming languages are a mess |

Perhaps we should simply start posting a sentence a day in this topic to keep it on the top of the list.
I'm guessing that ever since the Enterprise version came out, the free personal edition will get absolutely no support.
